In sheet metal bending, springback is a common technical challenge. It refers to the deviation between the actual bending angle and the intended angle after bending, caused by the recovery of elastic deformation of the material, which impairs product precision.
Springback is mainly related to the material’s yield strength, elastic modulus, bending angle and bending radius. The higher the yield strength and the smaller the bending angle, the more significant the springback.
To control springback, the following measures can be adopted: selecting materials with higher elastic modulus, optimizing bending process parameters (e.g., increasing holding time), and using the compensation bending method (presetting a certain springback allowance).
Through extensive process trials, our company has accumulated rich experience in springback control. Equipped with advanced bending equipment, we can effectively reduce the impact of springback and ensure that the bending accuracy of sheet metal parts meets design requirements.
